Nervous Patients

Terrified of dental treatment? You’re not alone, but come to Country Dental and relax with our gentle techniques

We see a large number of phobic patients and know how desperately they struggle to attend for treatment. Perhaps they’ve suffered bad dental experiences in the past or have general anxiety issues. It doesn’t matter.

Whether you’re claustrophobic, frightened of gagging or terrified of needles, we can help build your confidence and trust by working with you at your own pace.

Any patients who need deep relaxation for extractions, surgery or implant placement will be pleased to learn that we now offer sedation techniques.

Many of our phobic patients – even the very nervous ones needing sedatives - now enjoy (almost!) coming in to see us. We are now used to them saying:

“I can’t believe it! I actually slept last night before coming to see you. It’s great!”

We recommend that you drop in to meet us for a chat before making a formal appointment.

“I think it’s time to admit that I’ve always been secretly terrified of going to the dentist. That meant I wasn’t having the check-ups I needed.

As a result, inevitably, I got terrible toothache and I was in complete agony.  I knew I had to get treatment.  A friend recommended Country Dental and, a bit reluctantly, I called you.

I have to say you were great. I was seen quickly and got immediate pain relief. I was given a pain-free injection and the whole experience was really comfortable.

The thing that has surprised me is the way it’s given me so much more confidence and I know that I can return for treatment without fear.

You’ve taken away my nervousness. Thank you.”

“Sally and all the team have been fantastic. Not only have they given me my smile back, they have given me my confidence back.

I used to hate having my photo taken or meeting people because of the state of my teeth. Now I can do both smiling happily.

I was extremely nervous the first time I went to see Sally but everyone there was so friendly and understanding I have overcome any fears. In fact I'm looking forward to my next check up so I can see how they are all doing.
Thank you Sally and all the team”
